To save you from inconvenience, here are a few well-intentioned tips.

  • The soil here in Istria has very special properties. Damp or wet soil behaves almost like glue and is very difficult to wash off. Stains on shoes or clothing are comparable to red wine stains, so they are almost impossible to get out.
  • So that you are not surprised by uninvited guests from the animal world, please do not leave any doors or windows open in the evening or at night. Do not leave food or drinks unattended outdoors.
  • Don't forget your insect repellent when you're out and about in nature.
